Stuffing Recipes Sure to Be a Huge Hit!

A great se of recipes you can alter to your own tastes, if you wish. They are great unchanged for Thanksgiving or Christmas, however.

Basic Stuffing:
2-3 Cups of bread crumbs
2 tbs of margarine or butter
1/4 cup of diced onion
2 tbs savoury
1 tsp onion powder (Optional)
Dash of Pepper to taste (Optional)
1/4 tsp of garlic powder (Optional)

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, then place it inside the turkey. Make sure you read my other article on how to stuff a turkey for instructions on that, if you need them. Remove the stuffing as soon as you remove the bird from the oven. Make sure you test the temperature of the stuffing if at all possible. It must be 165 while still inside the bird, to be considered safe.

If you are one that doesn't put the stuffing inside, then you can add about 5 tbs of chicken broth to the bread crumb mixture, and mix thoroughly. Then, place the mixture into a foil pan, cover with aluminum foil and bake it in the oven for about 10-15 minutes. It doesn't taste quite as good, but its still great.

Super Stuffing:
2-3 Cups of bread crumbs
2 tbs vegetable oil
1 cup chopped onions
2 tbs savoury
4 strips bacon chopped
2 sausages chopped finely, casings removed (Mild Italian is best)
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 cup green onions
1/2 cup corn (Optional)
Dash of Pepper to taste

First, place the oil in a frying pan, then add chopped sausage, and cook for about 10 minutes, then add the chopped bacon in with the sausage, and add the onions at the same time. Fry for another 15-20 minutes, until onions are soft. Meanwhile, add the bread crumbs, savoury, onion powder, green onions and corn to a bowl, and mix thoroughly. Then add the bacon, onions and sausage to the mixture, and stir thoroughly. (No need to drain the grease, unless you wish to.) Once again, place it inside the bird, and bake as normal. I prefer this one in taste, but the first one is easiest by far. You can also use the same method of baking the stuffing seperately from the bird if you wish.
